The Oslo Beer and Culture Walk blends history, flavour, and local culture — with a full Norwegian dinner at its start. Beginning in one of Oslo’s oldest restaurants and ending in Scandinavia’s largest craft beer bar, it's a journey through the city's past and present, told through both its stories and its drinks.
-
Start with a full dinner in one of Oslo’s oldest restaurants – Start your evening with a proper sit-down meal, choosing freely from the menu. Whether you prefer fish, meat, or lighter options, you’ll enjoy a generous Norwegian dinner paired with a draught beer. Choose between two of Norway's most popular brews: Ringnes Pilsner or Frydenlund IPA.
-
Then we visit a historic tavern steeped in polar exploration history – Surrounded by maritime memorabilia, you raise two distinctive Norwegian aquavits (Gilde and Arvesølvet) while learning about Amundsen, Nansen, and the Arctic expeditions that shaped Norway's past.
-
We finish in Scandinavia's largest craft beer bar – With more than 65 beers on tap, this venue is a mecca for beer lovers. Here you’ll enjoy a generous tasting flight of four to five beers, guided not only by your OsloWay tour guide but also by a resident beer expert. Together, they lead you through the origins, styles, and flavour profiles of Norway's craft brewing scene.
-
The cultural walk – Between each venue, your guide shares stories that bring Oslo to life: the evolution of Aker Brygge from industrial docklands to today's buzzing waterfront, the city's journey from Viking Age trading hub to modern Nordic capital, and how Oslo's food and beer culture has flourished in recent decades.
